I'm a professional American voice over artist working in Japan who has enjoyed working with some of the top recording studios in Asia.
I am able to follow both extremely specific, and artistically general direction, ("can you sound like a spring bud waiting to blossom?" yes, apparently, I can.)
I read and speak Japanese which proves especially useful for dubbing projects as I can both check and adjust scripts on the fly to better suit the timing and/or nuanced meaning desired. I love working with bilingual teams, or even fully Japanese speaking ones!

Having grown up constantly shifting about the U.S., and in later years becoming a globe trotting dilettante; I am told by those abroad that I have a uniquely "un-American American accent" which speakers of Queen's English, American English, and even non-native speakers find easy to understand.
I have found that dubbing has also helped me develop a fair ear for mimicry, and I continue to enjoy developing a variety of different voices, tones, and accents.
